Tomato Pachadi

Tomato Pachadi– From the kitchen of Pinky Reddy

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg Desi tomatoes
  • 50 gms Green Chillies
  • 8 to 10 cloves Garlic
  • 10 gms Tamrind /Imli
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds /Jeera
  • 1 tsp Rock salt
  • 1 tsp Oil to fry chillies
  • 1 tsp Oil to fry chillies
  • Method

  • Heat 1 tsp oil in this put green chillies cut in to 2 to 3 pieces each cook for a minute on medium flame and remove.

  • Heat 1 tsp oil put tomatoes cut in big pieces cook for 5 minutes add jeera,peeled garlic cloves,deseeded imli and rock salt.

  • To the tomatoes add the chillies let it cool for a while and then grind in a mixi.

  • Your Pachadi is ready.

  • Cook for 7 to 8 minutes till onions become tender on medium flame.

  • Note:Tastes good with Idli,Dosa,plain rice
