Tamatar la katt From the kitchen of Dimpoo

To serve 6 Persons

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Desi Tomato
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Lemon size ball of Deseeded Tamrind
  • 3 twigs of Curry Leaves
  • 2 tsp powdered Phuta Channa Dal
  • 2 tsp fresh Coconut Milk
  • 2 tsp Dhania Powder
  • 2 tsp Jeera Powder
  • For Baghaar Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Jeera
  • 1/2 tsp Rai
  • 3 pods Garlic
  • 3 dried Red Chillies
  • 1tbsp oil
  • Method

  • Wash and cut the tomatoes..Add Mich,Salt,Tamrind and curry leaves…boil…Strain it thick.

  • To this add Phuta Channa Dal powder , freshly taken out Coconut Milk, Dhania Powder, Jeera powder.

  • Make the Baghaar in a kulhi…Heat the oil put Jeera and Rai ..Let it crackle..Add Garlic, Dried Red Chillies….Pour the Baghaar over the Tamatar la katt.

  • Ready to serve..
    Good with Biryani and Mirchi la Saalan
