Potato Masala for Dosa
3 potatoes medium size
3 onions (optional)
1 pinch turmeric
2-3 sprigs of chopped coriander leaves
3-4 tbsp salt
Little water
For Seasoning
1 tbsp oil
½ tbsp mustard seeds / rai
3-4 slit green chillies
1 sprig of curry leaves
1 tspBlack gram dal / urad dal
½ lemon
Method
Boil the potatoes till tender. Peel and mash coarsely.
Peel and slice onions finally lengthwise.
Heat the oil in the vessel. Add urad dal, splutter mustard seeds, add the green chillies and curry leaves.
Add onions and saute till translucent. (Optional)
Add potatoes, turmeric, salt, coriander leaves and mix well. Pour water and cook for 2 minutes and remove from the heat.
Add lemon juice.
