Potato Masala for Dosa

Potato Masala for Dosa
Ingredients

  • 3 potatoes medium size

  • 3 onions (optional)

  • 1 pinch turmeric

  • 2-3 sprigs of chopped coriander leaves

  • 3-4 tbsp salt

  • Little water

  • For Seasoning

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • ½ tbsp mustard seeds / rai

  • 3-4 slit green chillies

  • 1 sprig of curry leaves

  • 1 tspBlack gram dal / urad dal

  • ½ lemon

  • Method

  • Boil the potatoes till tender. Peel and mash coarsely.

  • Peel and slice onions finally lengthwise.

  • Heat the oil in the vessel. Add urad dal, splutter mustard seeds, add the green chillies and curry leaves.

  • Add onions and saute till translucent. (Optional)

  • Add potatoes, turmeric, salt, coriander leaves and mix well. Pour water and cook for 2 minutes and remove from the heat.

  • Add lemon juice.
