Ingredients

  • 250 grams big pakodi green chilly
  • 3 cups flour / besan
  • 3-4 potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
  • 1 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp raw mango powder / aamchur
  • 1 tsp jaljeera mix
  • ½ tsp ajwain
  • 2 tbsp imli juice
  • Pinch of soda
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry
  • Method

  • Slit the green chilly.

  • Heat oil in a pan, add potatoes and saute red chilly powder, turmeric powder, raw mango powder, jaljeera mix, imli and salt. Mix well.

  • Fill this potato preparation equally in the chillies.

  • Mix ½ tsp ajwain, pinch of soda, salt in the besan and add water to bring it to thick consistency, whisk it very well till it becomes fluffy.

  • Heat the oil on medium flame, dip the chilly in the batter and fry till golden brown.
