Matar Dhokla

Matar Dhokla recipe ….from the kitchen of Darshan

For 4 dhokla thalis that go in cooker for dhokla / idli = 32 to 36 pcs

In a bowl

Take 4 spoons lemon juice
4 spoons sugar
4 spoons salt
4 spoons ginger green chilli paste
Add water 4 cups
Mix n keep

In a bigger bowl

Take
4 cups besan
4 cups suji
4 cups crushed fresh peas paste ( in mixer plz crush well add little water n ensure its a paste )

Add hing one spoon

Mix the earlier bowl water that has sugar salt lemon juice adrak chilli paste n all has dissolved the the water …

Mix 2 LARGE CUPS YOGURT WELL WHIPPED

ENSURE CONDISTENCY OF THE BATTER IS LIKE IDLI BATTER

Mix the 2 bowls ingredients in one bowl slowly n surely n with a spoon ..gently

Set aside

Get the 4 thalis ready ..oil the base

Get the water ready in the cooker

Take one sachet of eno

Open n put into batter

Mix n immediately pour into the thalis

Put in cooker

Shut n put whistle

While the dhokla is getting steamed

Take
White sesame

  • Curry leaves
  • Mustard seeds

Go a garnish / tarka in hot oil

Take down from gas

Add some freshly grated coconut

The dhokla is ready in 3 whistles

Take out of the cooker n let it cool

Cut into cubes as per size u need

Set in a platter

Garnish on top nicely

Add lastly finely chopped coriander leaves

Serve with a chutney
