Masala Baingan

Receipe of Masala Baingan from Aruna’s Kitchen

To serve 8 Persons

Ingredients

  • 10 Tender small Baingan
  • 3 Onions chopped fine
  • 6 Garlic pods chopped fine
  • 1 1/2 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Methi Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera Powder
  • 1tsp Bengal Gram Daal
  • Karvepak
  • 2 Ripened Tomatoes chopped fine
  • Kothmir chopped fine
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Method

  • Mixed all the above ingredient well with your hands

  • Wash and cut the Baingan open by making half suits on top

  • Fill the onion mixture inside the Baingans

  • In a Kadai, add a good helping of oil ,when hot add Mustard seeds,Jeera,Bengal daal & Karvrpak leaves
  • Slowly leave the stuffed Baingan into the oil . Let them cook on slow fire without water till done. Stir gently now and then.
