Mangochi…from the kitchen of Veena Modi

To Serve 4 People

Ingredients:

1 Cup Moong Dal
Oil to Fry

For Tampering:

A pinch of Hing
2 Dry Red Chillies
½ tsp Rai
½ tsp Zeera
2 tsp finely cut Ginger
2 Tomato (Grind)
2 tbsp Grounded Dal
1 tbsp Ghee
Salt to Taste

Method:

Soke the Moong Dal overnight
Grind it in a mixy and then using hand beater make the paste fluffy
Out of this dal paste keep 2 tbsp aside for tampering
Heat the oil in a kadai and from the moong dal make small pakodies and keep them aside
For Tampering heat the ghee add hing, dried red chillies, rai, zeera, Ginger, ground tomatoes, 2 tbsp dal paste, stir it well
Add 4 to 5 cups of boiled water, bring it to boil and keep it a side
While serving heat the gravy add the pakodies and again bring it to boil.
This makes the pakodies soft
Serve it along with Taahiri
