Lemongrass Shikanji – Recipe shared by Anju Poddar

Serves 6 people

Lemongrass Shikanji
Ingredients

  • 50 gms fresh lemongrass with the stem
  • 2 lemons
  • 6 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp black salt
  • Method

  • Cut the stem near the leaves and keep them aside to use as shakers to be individually put in each glass.

  • Wash the lemon grass well and boil in 2 cups of water till it becomes one cup now add sugar.

  • Sprain and keep it aside for about 4 hours .

  • Before serving add this to cold water…squeeze lemon juice…add very minutely diced raw mango /cucumbers add some ice.

  • Diced raw mango or diced cucumber optional.

  • In each glass add one lemongrass stem to use as shakers.
    Add ice and Pour the drink.
