Lemon Rice – From the kitchen of Pinky Reddy

Serves 6 people

Lemon Rice
Ingredients

  • 200 grams sonamasuri rice
  • For Seasoning :

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 50 grams pink skinned peanuts
  • 4-5 red chillies
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp black gram dal/ urad dal
  • ½ tspmustard seeds / rai
  • 2 sticks curry leaves
  • 1 pinch of turmeric
  • 1 lemon
  • Salt to taste
  • Method

  • Cook the rice, keep it aside.

  • Heat 1 tsp of oil. Add urad dal, rai, dried red chillies, cinnamon, curry leaves, lemon juice, pinch of turmeric and salt.

  • Stir it well and pour this on the rice.

  • This should not be heated before serving.
