DRUMSTICK CURRY

DRUMSTICK CURRY from the kitchen of Indira Reddy

To serve 8

Ingredients
1 kg drumsticks
1 medium size onion finely chopped
2 small piece cinnamon
2 to 3 cloves
1/2 tsp jeera
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 litre milk
2 tbsp oil
12 -15 curry leaves
1/4 tsp haldi
1/4 tsp sugar
salt to taste
red chilli powder to taste
1 tsp maida
coriander leaves for garnish

Method

Drumsticks 1kg peeled and cut to about 2” length. Take 2 tbsp oil in a kadhai, add 2 small pieces of cinnamon, 2-3 cloves, 1/2 tsp jeera, I medium onion finely chopped. Then add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, salt, 1/4 tsp sugar, 1/4 tsp haldi and 12-15 curry leaves. Once cooked add drumsticks. Cover and cook for approx 15 minutes. Then add red chilli powder to taste. Separately boil 1 litre milk. Add 1 tsp maida to milk and mix well with a dal mixer. Then add to the drumsticks. Let it cook together for 1 boil. Add chopped coriander leaves for garnish.
