Coorg Pongal
To serve 4

Ingredients:
– 1 cup raw rice
– 1/2 cup yellow moong dal
For tampering:
– 1 tablespoon of ghee
– 1/2 teaspoon peppercorn
– 1 tablespoon chopped, fresh coconut
– 1 chopped green chilli
– 1 stick of curry leaves
– 6 broken cashew nuts
– 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
– Salt to taste

Method:
– Wash the rice and moong dal and cook it well in a cooker
– Heat the ghee and add all the ingredients for tampering
– Mix this with the cooked rice and dal preparation
– Serve hot with Chutneys
