Bedami – From the kitchen of Manju Saraf

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Urad Daal
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour/atta
  • 1/2 cup Maida
  • 1/2 cup suzi /samolina
  • 1/2 cup Besan
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp kalongi /onion seeds
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 table spoon oil
  • Oil to fry
  • Method

  • Wash well and soak the Urad daal for about 4 hours.

  • Drain the water grind the daal very thin in the mixi.

  • Put the ground daal in a big thaali and mix all the four types of flours + chlli powder + kalongi + salt and 3 table spoon of oil and make a tight dough if required spinkle a little water.

  • Divide the dough in to equal small pieces.

  • Roll one piece in about 3″ diameter round.

  • Heat the oil and on high flame fry the Bedami.

  • Note : serve with Chilka Aloo tamatar ki sabji.
